Criteria for Studying MBBS in Bosnia

Here are some of the general requirements for an MBBS:

  • A secondary school diploma including at least two science disciplines, such as biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and so forth. Chemistry appears to be an absolute need more frequently than not. Alternatively, if you already have a Bachelor's degree, a distinctions certification in science with a 2:1 or higher, or a proportionate degree, can provide some leeway. A high level of English proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.5–7.0 or TOEFL or C1 Advanced language declarations. It is necessary to have a GPA of 3.0 or better, or something close. 

 

  • A transcript of scholastic records will suffice as proof of continuous intellectual achievement. In the United Kingdom, you may also be required to take a privately perceived specialised medical test, such as the UKCAT or BMAT, depending on the country. The MCAT exam is the equivalent in the United States. Voluntary job involvement in health care is similar to or even greater. It's possible that you'll need to take a Foundation programme to be approved or meet the requirements for the MBBS programme. The institution is also interested in knowing if you have the transferrable skills required to be a future specialist.

MBBS Timeline

The MBBS curriculum is a six-year degree with 360 ECTS credits. The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) allows for seamless cross-border movement while also recognising qualifications. 60 ECTS credits are roughly equivalent to one semester. You will become a doctor after completing your MBBS programme in six years. The first five years are usually spent learning theory, with one year devoted to practical internships.
