Tbilisi Medical Academy

Tbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by a renowned Georgian physician, Petre Shotadze, a paediatric surgeon, and was named after him after his death in 1999.

 

It is regarded as one of Georgia's oldest private institutes for higher medical education or MBBS. TMA has produced over 1500 graduates who now work at prestigious Georgian and international hospitals, universities, and research institutes.

 

TMA is an autonomous higher education institution with a highly trained faculty. The University offers a One-Step Educational Program in Medicine (MD) that is taught entirely in English. The training is organised into three phases and lasts six years.
